We aim to enable and facilitate Tritius' connectivity and collaboration with the outside world - with other organizations and systems. We know how important the support of standards plays a role in this.
We support all modern standards for integration with other systems:
MARC21
RDA (+AACR2)
OAI-PMH
NCIP
Z39.50
SIP2
Unicode
Tritius is designed in accordance with the MARC21 standard and with RDA or AACR2 rules.
A built-in Z39.50 passive client is a standard part of the cataloging module.
Tritius offers predefined and customized forms for these types of works:
Monographs
AV media
Music
Periodicals
Analytical descriptions of periodical articles
The cataloging forms offer a number of features to make it easier for you to insert your record:
Each field contains expert help, including examples
The system is equipped with proven dictionary and code maker technology to facilitate data entry
Newly defined fields can also be multimedia (image, sound, video, link, etc.)
Links can be made between different records
The web catalogue (OPAC) makes your data available to users and the public.
It allows users to search collections, sort, categorize and export entries, share to social networks and much more.
It also comes with user account management options, enabling registered users to manage reservations, loans and notifications, as well as use other functions.
This module is used to keep track of patrons, borrowings and fees.
The module not only allows you to lend titles to patrons, but also keeps a complete history of all borrowings, reminders and charges. Based on the rules entered, it can calculate the fee for each transaction, the length of the loan extension or send out reminders. Other functions of the module include:
Categorization of patrons
Support of user credit
Registration of absentee and present borrowings
Full support of barcode or RFID chips
Fully configurable calculations of all fees
Reservation of titles and copies
Printing of reminders and reservation notices (or sending them by e-mail)
Borrowing statistics (statistical report, diary, rankings of the most requested documents, etc.)
Sophisticated printouts (exports)
Support for ILS records
After logging into the Catalogue, patrons can view their borrowing log
This module makes it possible to do a physical inspection of the entire department swiftly and precisely.
The advantage is that the module not only checks the presence of the book, but can also check its correct placement on the shelf. The result of the review is a list of missing books.
The main features include:
Checking the presence of a document
Checking the correct location of a document
Barcode and RFID support
Automatic write-off of long-lost titles
The system allows for detailed configuration of each module.
It can be customized to suit the exact needs of any specific library.
The service portal is directly integrated into our system. You can easily communicate with our service support directly from the system (no need to log in).
You are notified of changes in the status of the request by e-mail, or you can see them directly in the system.
Tritius offers significantly more modules than mentioned above. For example:
Acquisitions - managing purchases, budgets, invoices, delivery checks and more
ILS - lending records between libraries
Z39.50 for sending records
Metis - allows indexing and searching of foreign resources directly from the library catalogue
Payment Gateways - allows patrons to pay fees online using an integrated payment gateway
SMS - you can send text messages to patrons directly through Tritius and even receive replies from patrons directly in the system
Computer room management - remote control of computers, sending messages, ...
...
